Welcome to Ottawa Transit Riders Group / le groupe des usagers de transport en commun d'Ottawa! We are a grassroots, volunteer-run, non-politically affiliated group of transit users who want to make Ottawa's public transit system, OC Transpo, more accessible, reliable, safe, and useful to riders. We are putting the public back in public transit!
We are an initiative of the Healthy Transportation Coalition, Free Transit Ottawa, and the Ontario Public Interest Research Group (OPIRG-GRIPO).
The January workshop was sponsored by allies such as:
- Vanier Community Association
- ATU Local 279
- Bayshore Community Association
- Ecology Ottawa / Ecologie Ottawa
- Ottawa Disability Coalition
- Canadian Research Institute for the Advancement of Women (CRIAW)
- Ottawa ACORN
Much thanks to Toronto TTC Riders who provided us with much needed advice.
Our founding meeting will be held Saturday, April 27th at Jean Pigott Place (City Hall). Click on the link for upcoming events to RSVP.
